Cheryl Walmsley

Prior to joining Keller, Cheryl was serving as the Chair for Lifeline Northern Beaches, one of Lifeline Australia’s top tier call centres.  She accepted this role in May 2015 and continues to serve as a crisis counsellor and on the board.

Cheryl commenced her career in Human Resources over thirty years ago as a generalist and has specialised in the design, management and delivery of large scale training programmes, particularly for managers and leaders in the private sector. As a generalist, Cheryl was responsible for a wide range of recruitment and employment relations issues. She also designed, managed and facilitated teams in setting strategy, managing change and conflict, problem solving, project delivery and business improvement.

Cheryl’s work experience was acquired in Australia and internationally in companies such as Elders IXL (Australia), Levi Strauss (UK), Cathay Pacific Airways (Hong Kong), Kellogg, Brown & Root (UK), Hatch Associates (Australia) and most recently as Group Manager – Organisational Development at Downer Edi Ltd (Australia). As a freelance consultant, Cheryl has been engaged by organisations as diverse as Bechtel, BHP Billiton, P & O Ports (now DP World), Securicor, ExxonMobil, The British Institute of Management, The Australian College of Nursing, UN Women, Shell and Pentland Brands (Canterbury Clothing). To date, Cheryl has worked in over 17 countries including Singapore, Korea, India, Vietnam and the UAE.
