About the role
We are seeking an Apprentice Boilermaker to join our Lawnton workshop and maintenance team. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn the trade of fabricating, assembling, and maintaining steel structures and equipment used in major geotechnical projects nationwide.
You will work closely with experienced tradespeople while completing a Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Boilermaker). Preference is for school leavers or applicants just starting their trade journey.
What you will learn
As part of your apprenticeship, you will gain practical experience in:

Cutting, shaping, and assembling steel and metal components

Welding, grinding, and finishing techniques
-
Reading and interpreting technical drawings
-
Installing and maintaining steel structures and fabricated equipment

Following safe work practices, including welding and workshop safety

Performing quality checks and understanding fabrication standards
Key responsibilities

Assist qualified tradespeople with fabrication, assembly, and maintenance tasks

Support both workshop and on-site projects

Maintain tools, equipment, and workshop cleanliness

Follow safety, quality, and environmental procedures

Actively participate in on-the-job and formal training
About you

Strong interest in fabrication, welding, and working with steel

Willingness to learn and follow instructions

Reliable, committed, and safety focused

Able to work effectively in a team environment

Construction White Card (or willingness to obtain)
