About the Role
We are looking for a commercially minded and detail-oriented Ground Engineering & Piling Estimator to join our growing team.
This is a dynamic role suited to someone with a background in civil construction or building, whether from a project engineering, project management, quantity surveying or contracts administration background - who is ready to step into a role that spans estimating, business development, and pre-construction strategy.
You will work closely with our engineering and operations teams to ensure proposals are technically sound, commercially competitive, and aligned to client needs. A key challenge will be your ability to develop cost-effective solutions that strengthen Keller’s commercial position and meet the specific requirements of each client.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for piling and ground engineering works

Work closely with the design team to develop innovative and cost-effective proposals

Translate client needs into tailored technical and commercial solutions

Contribute to tender submissions, pricing strategies, budgets, and commercial reviews

Support business development and early-phase client engagement

Help lead bid strategies and presentations to secure new opportunities

Collaborate across teams to support operational planning and design input
About You
We are seeking someone with the right mix of technical knowledge and commercial understanding.
You will bring:

Around 5 years of experience in a similar role – ideally mid-level
-
A background in civil engineering, construction, or building, ideally as a Project Engineer, Quantity Surveyor, or similar

Strong understanding of construction methodology and costing principles

Confidence in pricing work and engaging directly with builders or clients

Practical knowledge of both site-based and office-based project environments
-
A proactive approach to design collaboration and commercial input
-
Experience in pre-construction strategy, forecasting, and AH&D is a plus
