About the role
We are seeking a safety-focused and experienced Heavy Rigid Truck Driver/Yard Person to join our team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient transport of materials and equipment to support our project delivery across the region.
Key responsibilities

Operate HR trucks safely and in line with fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements

Load/unload materials using an LF counterbalance forklift

Conduct daily pre-start checks and basic vehicle maintenance
-
Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logbooks, and time sheets
-
Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely deliveries
-
Support general yard operations: receiving, organising, and dispatching materials
-
Ensure compliance with HSEQ, environmental, and quality standards
-
Use GPS/digital tools to manage routes and track deliveries
About you
-
Valid HR (Heavy Rigid) Driver’s Licence
-
Current LF Forklift Licence with solid counterbalance experience
-
Experience in construction, transport, or yard operations
-
Strong understanding of load restraint, CoR, and fatigue management
-
Good communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented attitude
-
Commitment to safe work practices and maintaining a fit-for-work condition
What you will need
-
Valid HR (Heavy Rigid) Driver’s Licence – with a clean and safe driving record
-
Current LF Forklift Licence – with hands-on experience operating counterbalance forklifts
-
White Card – Construction Induction (required for all construction site access)

Demonstrated Experience in transport, logistics, or construction yard operations
Knowledge of:

Chain of Responsibility (CoR)

Load restraint techniques

Fatigue management and safe driving practices

Site safety and environmental procedures
