About the role
We are seeking a commercially minded Project Controller to join our Finance Team in our Melbourne office, based in Braeside, VIC or our Macquarie Park, NSW office. This key role provides business partnering support to Project Managers, focusing on cost tracking, project performance, forecasting, and cash flow management.
Acting as the link between Finance and Operations, the Project Controller will ensure financial performance is accurately reported and understood, driving smarter decisions across our projects.
You will support multiple projects simultaneously and be an integral part of ensuring project financial success.
Key responsibilities

Prepare monthly dashboards, executive summaries, and financial reports

Monitor project KPIs, analyse variances, and identify improvement areas

Present cost status and financial insights in project and management meetings

Support forecasting, progress claims, and revenue recognition processes

Reconcile costs, manage WIP, unbilled revenue, and cash collections

Assist with claim preparations and customer collections

Drive continuous improvement in reporting and escalate key project risk
About you

Degree qualified in Accounting or Commerce
-
2–5 years' experience in construction project accounting

Advanced Excel skills and a high attention to detail

Effective communicator with strong analytical ability

Able to challenge and support Project Managers

Self-starter with excellent time management skills
