About the Role

We are seeking a Senior HSE Advisor to support our team on the Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) project based in Braeside, Melbourne. This is a temporary role (6–12 months) where you will play a critical role in maintaining and promoting health, safety, and environmental standards on a high-profile infrastructure project. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with HSE legislation and company policies while building strong working relationships across site teams, contractors, and stakeholders. This role requires a proactive safety mindset and the ability to influence a positive safety culture.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide HSE support and guidance across the SRL project

  • Engage effectively with project teams, clients, and subcontractors

  • Conduct inspections, audits, and incident investigations

  • Promote continuous improvement in HSE performance and systems

  • Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and company standards

  • Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and inductions

  • Maintain accurate records and HSE reporting

  • Foster a safety-first culture aligned with Keller’s global values

 

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety or related field (essential)

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a HSE Advisor role within construction or infrastructure

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

  • Sound knowledge of Victorian WHS legislation and standards

  • Experience conducting audits and investigations

  • Construction industry experience is essential; infrastructure or rail project experience is highly regarded

  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively on-site
