About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior HSE Advisor to provide strategic health, safety, and environmental leadership across our national operations in VIC, WA and SA.

This role can be based in Victoria or Western Australia with frequent travel between VIC,WA and SA.

This role focuses on governance, assurance, incident investigation, critical risk management, and capability development while partnering closely with operational leaders and project teams.

You will play a key role in supporting national HSE strategy, driving continuous improvement initiatives, conducting audits and compliance activities, and mentoring HSE professionals across the business.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support complex incident investigations and Incident Review Boards
  • Conduct HSE audits, assurance activities, and compliance assessments
  • Drive critical risk management and verify control effectiveness across projects and operations
  • Coach and mentor operational leaders, supervisors, and HSE Advisors
  • Support national HSE initiatives, training programs, and system rollouts
  • Review HSE documentation including SWMS, procedures, and risk assessments
  • Analyse HSE performance data and trends to identify improvement opportunities
  • Support regulatory interactions, emergency preparedness, and stakeholder engagement
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams nationally

 

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline
  • 8–10 years HSE experience within high-risk industries
  • ICAM Lead Investigator or equivalent investigation qualification
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and integrated management systems
  • Experience within construction, piling, ground improvement, mining, or major projects environments preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and coach operational stakeholders
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating across multiple teams and locations
  • Willingness to frequently travel nationally as required
