Another successful Frankipile project for North Queensland

Cairns tennis centre roof

The project

A new roof will be built over the centre court at the Cairns International Tennis Centre to provide protection from both rainfall and the harsh far North Queensland sun. To accommodate this upgrade the project required foundation support. Keller had early project involvement with Cairns Regional Council prior to builder appointment.

The challenge

Piling was required in close proximity to the existing club house, while the other courts remained opened for public use. This required careful scheduling and sequencing of works to complete piles closest to the open courts earlier in the day.

The solution

Keller have been successfully installing Franki piles in North Queensland since early 1960s. With our range of specialised equipment and technical experts this project ran seamlessly, meeting all program requirements and successfully delivering the project to an extremely happy client.
